1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that the websites you visit save on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet). They are used to make the site work, remember your preferences, collect statistics and show personalized content.
This page explains which cookies we use on botteghino.eu, run by Il Botteghino di Ziino Daniele (VAT no. IT02734750835), Via Vittorio Emanuele 33/35, 98055 Lipari (ME), Italy.
2. Cookie categories
In line with the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of June 10, 2021, we distinguish between:
- Technical / Necessary: essential for the site to work. They don't require consent.
- Analytics: measure how the site is used in aggregate form. They require consent.
- Marketing: today they let Shopify measure the store's campaigns; we don't run ads on other sites. They require consent.
On your first visit we ask for your consent with a banner. You can reject, accept or customize your choice at any time with the “Cookie preferences” button in the footer.
3. Technical cookies (always on)
These cookies are essential for the site to work (cart, account access, session, security). Without them the site would not work properly.
On the product page and at checkout, the PayPal, Google Pay and Shop Pay payment buttons load their providers' services, which may set the cookies or storage entries listed below. They are used to make the payment work; the providers manage them as independent controllers, under their own privacy notices.

Your choice is stored by Shopify and also in your browser's storage (key “bt-consent”), so it can be applied again on later visits.
4. Analytics cookies (optional consent)
They help us understand how the site is used, in aggregate form, so we can improve it.

These cookies are set only if you accept analytics cookies. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser.
5. Marketing cookies (optional consent)
We currently don't use advertising tools from Google, Meta or other platforms, and we don't show ads on other sites. The only cookie in this category lets Shopify measure the store's campaigns. If we use advertising tools in the future, we will update this page before turning them on.

6. How to manage your preferences
You have three ways to control cookies:
- Il Botteghino cookie preferences: use the “Open preferences” button on this page or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. You can change your choice whenever you like. It's the easiest way.
- Browser settings: every browser lets you block or delete cookies. Instructions for Google Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Microsoft Edge.
- Third-party opt-out tools: Google Analytics Opt-out and YourOnlineChoices (EU).
Turning off technical cookies can stop the site from working properly. Turning off analytics and marketing cookies doesn't affect browsing or your ability to buy.
